Once sales of the C64 started waining in a move that could only be described
as 'clever' CBM did nothing but repackage the old machine in a sleek new case
and called it the C64C. It featured a new motherboard design but that
was it; everything else was the same. Rather than sell the 'new' machine on
its own they packed it up in several different retail boxes all themed round
various games. The museum has 3 such packages - Night Moves, Light
Fantastic and Terminator II. By and
large they all contained the same things - a C64C, joysticks, games and a 1530
tape drive; the TII pack dispensed with the drive and instead had the Terminator
II game on a cart. Not sure why they did that.
