They're both Nascom 2s but you wouldn't know just to look at them since they're both in custom cases, a commercially available one (I guess) and one made by Tim himself to contain the system (a single-board computer or SBC), power supply and extra 16K memory board to make the total RAM a staggering 32K! The case was also built to take the weight of a monitor but its so solidly constructed I think it'd even take my weight!
The wooden cased machine also contains ROMs featuring Nascom's word processor - NASPEN. It might look primitive but remember these machines were released in the late 1970s/early 80s when having software in 4 or 8K EPROMs was necessary to avoid bad loading from cassette!

In 2016 I powered up Tim's machine again for better pictures than the 2003 ones above, worked first time!
